THE ALIEN BLAKK Guitarist to Perform At MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION Fundraising Event
September 28, 2006THE ALIEN BLAKK guitarist/producer Joshua Craig will perform for the children's charity "Make A Wish Foundation" at the organization's annual Phoenix, AZ event fundraising drive. The event will be held today (Thursday, September 28) between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. at 44th street and Indian School in the shopping plaza parking lot. The esteemed guitarist was asked to donate time in the way of a performance and will be signing autographs and handing out music related products from The Alien Blakk Music Co. in the form of bullet guitar cables, skull picks, alien ware clothing line products and camo guitar straps from his upcoming product line. All items will also be featured for sale on the group's upcoming tour that begins on Thursday, November 2 in Phoenix, Arizona and lasts for 33 straight days with a show every evening and a guitar clinic on most days in North America.
THE ALIEN BLAKK is a predominantly instrumental project led Craig, with contributions from former MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson and FLOTSAM AND JETSAM drummer Craig Nielsen. The group's debut album, entitled "Modes of Alienation", is described as "a frenetic mix of FRANK ZAPPA meets MESHUGGAH with a hint of GUNS N' ROSES." The styles range from metal, latin-jazz, country, rock, classical then back to a wall of acoustically composed arrangements. All music on "Modes of Alienation" was produced, written, arranged and recorded in three diffrent locations by Joshua Craig and was mixed at Steve Vai's The Mothership recording studio. There is also an accompanying 22-song CD that contains guest appearances from members of TESTAMENT, FEAR FACTORY, SACRED REICH, FIGHT and other special guests.
